About Bytessence MPxConverter
Bytessence MPxConverter is a simple user interface for AMV-Codec-Tools, a fork of FFMpeg targeted at media conversion for chipods (cheap mp4 players, usually clones of popular brands). It is based on the same code as the (discontinued) AMVConverter, but it now is compatible with both Actions and Sunplus players. The program kept features from its predecessor, mainly portable code, ease of use, speed and multilingual interface while adding extended conversion support.Features over the standard conversion tool:

What's new in version 1.2 (28 OCT 2008)
- The list columns are now stored in the settings file
- The remaining time indicator is now more accurate
- Added a more reliable way of calculating the total progress
- The progress is also shown on the titlebar while converting
- Added drag and drop support
- Fixed a bug with the input path in the "Add video" dialog
- Fixed a bug that was preventing the main window to show up after closing it in minimized state (from the taskbar)
- Added Urdu, Turkish and German translations in the main package
- Updated code for PureBasic 4.30
- Re-compiled the included AMV-Codec-Tools FFMpeg executable (SVN-r589)
- Made other minor changes (changed item highlight color, formatted the code)

Bytessence MPxConverter is open source. You can use it as much as you want with no restrictions. Also you can contribute to it with translations or send us suggestions for the new versions. The Linux version needs the following packages/libraries to be installed:- LibFaad
